🎤 “Queer Ecologies of Flourishing: Urban Floods, Hyacinths, and Atmospheric Care”

In this talk, I explore how urban floods and "invasive" water hyacinths in Ho Chi Minh City invite us to rethink environmental crisis through queer ecology and feminist technoscience. Rather than seeing floods as pure disasters or hyacinths as obstacles, I look at how they participate in cyclical rhythms, care practices, and multispecies forms of resilience.

From weaving baskets with harvested plants to living with seasonal flooding, these practices reveal an “atmospheric care” — a shared, affective space of collaboration, improvisation, and survival in times of ecological change.
